The Freightliner and Toyota passenger car were heading east when the tractor trailer struck the back of the Toyota and overturned near milepost 47.4 at 5 a.m., New Jersey State Police said.
The driver of the Toyota sustained minor injuries and was taken to an area hospital. There were no other injuries reported. The accident remains under investigation.
